In the 1977 World Series he hit 3 home runs on 3 pitches. Said Dodger Steve Garvey, “I must admit, when Reggie hit his third home run and I was sure nobody was looking, I applauded in my glove.”

He was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1993.
