My father-in-law was an incredible artist. Several years ago, he was diagnosed with a terminal disease. Wanting to spend more time with him, I asked if he would teach me how to paint. I never anticipated I would actually be able to create anything worthwhile, but he was so encouraging and saw something in my art that I couldn't see. He passed away recently and is greatly missed, but I am so thankful for the days and nights spent together around a canvas.
Every brushstroke in these paintings was inspired by his teaching.
