Juan Marichal Is my guest on the September episode of the Lost Ballparks podcast!
From 1960-1975, Juan Marichal was one of the best pitchers in baseball. Mentioned in the same sentence as Bob Gibson, Sandy Koufax and Don Drysdale, he won more games than all 3 of them in the 1960’s. The crafty, high kicking Dominican right hander won 243 games - pitched 244 complete games - 52 of those were shutouts. Marichal had a lifetime .289 ERA, was a 10X all-star and was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1983.
