Dale Murphy Painting (8X10)
Lost Ballparks artist Michael Koser has created a new series of original paintings, "Lost Ballparks Legends" featuring some of baseball's all-time greats.
This item, a painting of New York Yankees legend Dale Murphy on an 8X10 wood canvas, is 1 of 1. There is no other like it.
Even though I grew up in Ohio, I spent many nights watching the Atlanta Braves on TBS. The Braves struggled in the 80's, but Dale Murphy, all by himself, was must watch TV!
I know there might be some who disagree with me, but I absolutely think "Murph" should be in the Baseball Hall of Fame!
He finished is career with 2,111 hits and 398 home runs. He was a 7X All-Star, 2X NL MVP, 5X Gold Glove winner and a 4X Silver Slugger winner.
In addition to being a great player, he was (is) also one of the highest character guys in baseball history.
"He’s one of the most if not the most responsive and fan-friendly player of his generation. He’ll respond to you on social media. He’ll sign autographs on cards or photos you send him. If you see him in public and talk to him he’ll drop what he’s doing and talk for as long as you’d like. He’s probably the most down-to-earth and, well, normal baseball superstar I’ve ever come across." - Craig Calcaterra
