Hank Aaron painting (11X14)
Lost Ballparks artist Michael Koser has created a new series of original paintings, "Lost Ballparks Legends" featuring some of baseball's all-time greats.
This item, a painting of Braves legend Hank Aaron on an 11x14 wood canvas, is 1 of 1. There is no other like it.
"Hammerin'" Hank Aaron was a 25x (yes, 25!!!) All-Star, World Champion (1957), NL MVP, NL Batting Champion, Gold Glove winner, Home Run leader, member of MLB's "All Century Team" and member of Baseball Hall of Fame's Class of '82. He finished his career with a lifetime .305 average, 755 home runs and 3,771 hits!!
In the early 50's Aaron was offered a contract to play with the Giants.
"I had the Giants' contract in my hand. But the Braves offered fifty dollars a month more. That's the only thing that kept Willie Mays and me from being teammates – fifty dollars." -Hank Aaron
According to the HOF, "Boxing legend Muhammad Ali once called Hank Aaron 'The only man I idolize more than myself. '”
