DiMaggio the "Yankee Clipper" played his entire 13 year career for the Yankees and (deep breath) was a 13x All-Star, 9x (Yes 9!!!) World Champion, 3x AL MVP, MLB record holder for 56 game hitting streak, member of MLB's "All Century Team" and the Baseball Hall of Fame. And he spent 2 1/2 years in the middle of that remarkable career serving in our armed forces!
